1. Cool

For whatever ‘cool’ actually means, in many ways, this song is about feeling so uncool. I guess what is cool to one person compared to another is ever-changing, for us, we realized when we found each other, fell in love, and started doing life together, suddenly we felt cool. You may not be all of the ‘stereotypical’ cool things to the world but together your love is what makes you special, it’s what makes you cool.

2. Your Heart Is My Home

A song about finding love when you least expect it. Falling in love and following that love thousands of miles across the ocean, taking a leap of faith, and making someone else’s heart your home, your safe space, your landing place, no matter what others may say or where in the world that may be. Realizing home is where you are, and your heart is my home.

3. Honeymoon Phase

We wrote this song by the ocean in Tijuana Mexico, and we wanted the track to capture the vibe, to feel fun, rhythmical, and beachy!
Sun, sea, sand, sparkling wine in your hand, this song is about two lovers on their honeymoon, yearning to stay in the sweet essence of this honeymoon phase of their love, striving to defy all odds of what others might say about love fading over time, these two lovers will forever remain in the honeymoon phase of their love.

4. Stop

We can all agree that often life gets much too busy, full of hustle and bustle, and suddenly we find ourselves caught up in it all, overwhelmed and chasing our tails, forgetting to slow down, breathe, and just be. This song is about taking the time to stop and soak up all of the things that are truly important in life, community, family, marriage, faith, etc, taking time to enjoy the present moment, and those we love, and be grateful for what we have, as sadly it can all slip away too fast.

5. The Way I Do

When I met Caitriona, I knew I had met the woman I wanted to spend the rest of my life with, in my eyes the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. It saddened me the more I got to know her that she didn’t see herself this way, she struggled to see her beauty, and I wished she could see herself the way I do.

Since writing this song I’ve realized that it can go even deeper and speak to us all. We must be careful of the voices we listen to in life, the things we give our yes to, for we are all beautiful children of God made perfect in his image and likeness. If we could only see ourselves the way HE does.

I sometimes like to listen to this song and imagine God the Father singing it to me.

6. It Happens

Have you ever found yourself helplessly and hopelessly lost in the myriad of finding true love? Your heart has been broken, you’re cold, and it feels like true love doesn’t exist, or at least for you! Well, this song is about just that except the story doesn’t end there, love does come along right when you least expect it, it hits you like a ton of bricks, waking you up from the deep dark dream you thought you were stuck in forever. It turns out you’ve been living in your very own beautiful love story, in ways you never anticipated, simple and unassuming, it happens, love, true love happens and seemingly exactly when it was supposed to.

7. Keep On

In good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, keep on loving me and I’ll keep on loving you! This love song speaks of what it is to love in even the hardest and most challenging circumstances of life, drawing a close connection between the highway of a traveling musician and matters of the heart.

8. That’s Not You

We are big supporters of counseling and therapy both individually and together in our marriage. Having a trusted voice to guide you through the struggles of life, past wounds, and traumas, and lead you towards healing. This song was written straight after one of those seasons in life, in the end, a reminder to not listen to the voice of the enemy within but rather turn your ears and attention toward the voice of God, saying “Behold my beloved son, or daughter, with whom I am well pleased”. I guess you could say this song is about realizing your true identity.

9. Like That

As a newly married couple with two children, it seems harder and harder to get a proper date night these days. This song is a fun, flirty, and playful song helping to keep that spark alive and on this occasion, we didn’t even make it to the restaurant for our date night, but that’s ok too.

10. Love Is The Reason

We’ve both walked on the pilgrimage ‘El Camino de Santiago’ the way of St James. In so many ways we see all of life as the ultimate pilgrimage, full of the highest highs and the lowest lows, deep despair, anxieties, and grief but also joy, new life, and hope. On every journey we need a destination, a mark that we are aiming toward, God is love and love is the reason for it all... we must aim toward love.

11. Greenest

This song is about leaving home, the green grass of our beautiful Emerald Isle, Ireland. Leaving all of the people we love and things we love behind to forge a new life across the sea. Heartstrings torn between two lands, the old and the new, between what we once called home and the home we now make in America, remembering the love and the memories that once were, but also taking a leap of faith toward adventure and making new memories, all the while never forgetting where we came from and our loved ones who raised us.

12. Easy To Love

This is one of the very first songs that we wrote together. It was also our first dance on our wedding day. It felt important to add it as a bonus track on our first-ever album together. This song captures when we first fell in love, it all felt so easy and effortless. Our favorite part of this song is the last line that came like a gift, one of those special moments of songwriting, ‘and honestly, I can’t believe our luck, there must be someone smiling from above, someone who finds us so easy to love.’
